The Shop is also a center for crafts from local artisans…. including individually-made wooden bowls, cutting boards, pottery, sweaters and other knitted items, hand braided rugs, notecards of farm scenes and local landmarks, teddy bears, hand smocked children’s dresses, and many other items. Most items are one of a kind, and the array is constantly changing.

One feature of our shop is the unique wooden decorations designed, hand cut, and then handpainted by Farmers Victor and Ruth. Holiday items include Santa Claus figures, farm animals and scarecrows, Thanksgiving turkeys, as well as designs for every holiday. Hand-made wreaths made from boughs and plant materials on the farm are available by preorder and often by chance.
Scarecrow Farm Christmas items have become collectibles in many households. The Shop is also a destination for the dollhouse collectors, with furniture for every room as well as handmade floral arrangements, baskets, tableware, and gift packages, all to scale and made by Ruth. NEW TO US: We have a small supply of market baskets made at Peterborough Basket Company, hand made in New Hampshire. Great gifts. Who couldn't use a basket to shop or to organize and store?! |
